By accessing or using our website and services, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions and our Privacy Policy.

• "We", "Us", "Our" refers to Techoneology LTD trading as HGV Academy.
• "You", "Your" refers to the user or customer of our services.
• "Services" refers to all products, training, courses, and digital materials we provide.

We provide HGV driver training courses, HGV medical assessments, theory revision kits, additional training sessions, and related services. All services are subject to availability and may be modified or discontinued at our discretion.

Our services are provided in accordance with the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

All prices are displayed in GBP (£). VAT is not applicable to our products. Payment must be made in full at the time of booking unless a payment plan has been agreed in writing, or you have taken out a finance plan through our introducer arrangement (see section 5).

By making a purchase, you enter into a legally binding contract with Techoneology LTD. Your rights as a consumer are protected under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

We offer an in-house payment plan that allows you to spread the cost of your course with 0% interest. There are no hidden fees associated with the payment plan itself. This is a separate product from the Ideal4Finance option described in section 6, and is a private payment plan, not a regulated consumer credit agreement - it is not reported to credit reference agencies.

There is no soft or hard credit search. Anyone is welcome to apply. Once you're happy with the terms, you sign our written in-house finance agreement with HGV Academy and we get started. The agreement sets out your payment dates, amounts and totals in writing before any training begins. You must be 18 or over and a UK resident. This plan is offered at our discretion and may be withdrawn if the agreement is not kept.

How It Works:

• The first payment to start the agreement is £800. The remaining balance of your quote is split equally across the next 3 months - 4 payments in total (e.g. a £3,200 quote = £800 starter + 3 x £800 monthly).
• Payments are made by standing order or bank transfer on an agreed date each month.
• After your 1st payment (£800) is received, we send out your D2 & D4 forms and book your medical. Once your licence has been returned from the DVLA after your medical, we book your theory tests (Modules 1a, 1b and 2) and dispatch your theory revision kit.
• After your 2nd payment is received, if you selected PPE (safety boots & gloves) in your quote, it will be dispatched.
• After your 3rd payment is received, we book your CPC Module 4.
• After your final (4th) payment has cleared, we book your CPC 3a (reversing) and 3b (driving) lessons and test dates - no exceptions. This means the in-house plan takes longer than paying in full or using external finance.

Late Payment Fee:

• Each monthly payment must be made on the agreed date. If any payment is not received within 7 days of the agreed date, your training will be paused until the account is up to date and a £50 late fee per missed payment will be added to your balance, as set out in your signed agreement.
• Example: if your payment date is the 1st of each month and your 2nd of 4 payments is made on the 9th, training is paused and a £50 late fee is added.

Financial Difficulty:

• If you're experiencing financial trouble and cannot make a payment - or cannot pay on time - please let us know as soon as possible. We'll do our best to work with you and find a way to keep your training on track so you can still get your licence. The earlier you tell us, the more options we have.

Refund of Starting Payment:

• The £800 starter payment is non-refundable once your medical has been booked and your theory kit has been accessed, in line with our standard terms.
• You have the right to request a full refund of your £800 starting payment provided you have not accessed or used any course materials - including the theory revision kit - and your medical has not yet been booked.
• If you have been sent materials, logged into the theory kit, or had your medical booked, a full refund is not possible. A partial refund may be considered at our discretion, less any costs already incurred.

We also offer finance options with terms from 12 to 60 months, provided by a third-party lender via an introducer arrangement. Finance available subject to status.

Finance is provided by Ideal4Finance. Techoneology LTD trading as HGV Academy is an Introducer Appointed Representative of Ideal Sales Solutions Ltd T/A Ideal4Finance. Ideal Sales Solutions is a credit broker and not a lender (FRN 703401).

The rate offered is always provisional and will depend upon your personal circumstances, the loan amount and the term. You may be offered finance options with an interest rate that varies depending on the lender. Finance is subject to status, affordability checks and lender approval; you must be 18 or over and a UK resident. Missed payments may affect your ability to obtain credit in the future. All finance agreements are between you and the lender.

Representative example: a £3,000 course over a 5-year (60-month) loan term at 6% APR works out at approximately £58 per month. This is illustrative only. The actual monthly cost, APR and total amount repayable will depend on the lender's assessment of your individual circumstances and may be higher or lower than this figure. Finance is subject to status.

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel an order for goods or digital content within 14 days of purchase (the "cooling-off period"), unless you have accessed or used the digital content or the service has already been performed.

If you have entered into a finance agreement with Ideal4Finance, your cancellation rights in respect of that agreement are governed by the terms of the credit agreement and applicable consumer credit law.

• You must provide accurate and truthful information when booking services and when applying for finance.
• You must hold a valid UK driving licence where required for the training booked.
• You must attend all scheduled appointments and training sessions on time.
• You are responsible for meeting DVSA eligibility requirements for the tests and licences you apply for.
• You must not share, redistribute, or resell any digital materials provided to you.

Attendance & Punctuality:

• We strongly recommend arriving at least 30 minutes early to all training sessions.
• If you arrive late without notifying us and the training provider, you will not receive the lost time back. Any additional hours required must be paid for at the standard rate of £100 per hour.

Confirmed Bookings (Medical, Theory & Tests):

• Once you have confirmed a booking time with HGV Academy for your medical, theory tests or any other tests, that slot cannot be changed or cancelled - it may not be possible to move it once booked.
• If you do not turn up to the confirmed date and time, no refund will be given and you will need to pay again on top to rebook, as your original slot is lost.
• If any changes are required after you have confirmed with us, you must let us know immediately so we can try to help - the earlier you tell us, the more chance there is of resolving it.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Techoneology LTD shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under English law.

We do not guarantee that you will pass any DVSA test or obtain any licence. Test outcomes depend on your individual performance and are administered by the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA).

We shall not be held liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations where such failure or delay results from events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: natural disasters, pandemics, government actions, strikes, or failures of third-party suppliers.

These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Customers who complete their entire training journey with HGV Academy - from start to finish - and pass every CPC module (Modules 1a, 1b, 2, 3a, 3b and 4) at the first attempt are eligible for a one-off £100 cashback payment upon full completion of their licence.

• To be eligible you must complete everything with HGV Academy from start to finish - including your D4 medical, all theory tests (CPC Modules 1a, 1b and 2), practical driving training, CPC Module 3a, 3b and Module 4.
• If any part of your training or testing (including the medical or any CPC module) has been completed with another provider, you are not eligible for the £100 cashback.
• Any failure of any CPC module on the first attempt will make you ineligible for the £100 cashback - a single failure voids the offer in full.
• The cashback is paid within 30 days of completing the full course and receiving your HGV licence, subject to full payment of your training package. You must contact us with proof of passing your HGV licence and email us pictures of all of your certificates to prove that you have passed everything before your £100 cashback is released.
• The offer is limited to one cashback payment per customer and cannot be combined with any other refund, discount or promotional offer.
• HGV Academy reserves the right to withdraw or amend this offer at any time; any changes will only apply to new bookings.

Pass Protection is offered as an optional add-on to your training package at three tiers: Bronze, Silver and Gold. Each tier is a complete package - you choose one, or none. Higher tiers include everything covered by the tier below.

Pass Protection Bronze (£29):

• Covers up to 2 failed theory test attempts in total.
• Both attempts may be for the same module or for different modules.
• Only the DVSA test fees are covered - no training, travel or additional costs are included.

Pass Protection Silver (£249):

• Includes everything covered by Bronze (2 theory retest fees).
• Covers 1 × CPC 3a (reversing) retest fee.
• Includes 1 additional hour of reversing training for the CPC 3a retest.

Pass Protection Gold (£479):

• Includes everything covered by Silver.
• Covers 1 × CPC 3b (driving) retest fee and truck hire.
• Includes 1 additional hour of training per retest module (CPC 3a and CPC 3b).
• Cover applies only to tests booked through HGV Academy and taken within the original training period.

Pass Protection add-ons are non-refundable once cover has been activated by a failed attempt, and cannot be transferred between customers or courses. Pass Protection Standard and Pass Protection Plus have been replaced by the Bronze / Silver / Gold tiers described above; existing customers on legacy tiers continue to be covered by the terms in place at the time of purchase.

From time to time we run promotional codes with our creator partners. Where a valid creator code is applied on the Build My Course tool, the associated perk (for example, additional included driving hours) will be reflected in your quote and confirmed by your advisor before you pay.

• Codes HGVMETA and JAZZATRUXX add 2 additional driving training hours to your course at no extra cost.
• Only one creator code can be applied per quote. Creator perks cannot be exchanged for cash, transferred between customers, or combined with other promotional offers unless expressly stated.
• Bonus hours must be used as part of your original training package with HGV Academy and expire if unused by the end of your training period.
• HGV Academy reserves the right to withdraw, replace or amend any creator code or associated perk at any time. Any changes only apply to new quotes.

We reserve the right to update these terms and conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with the updated date. Your continued use of our services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
